Top 5 ways to build your business blog audience.

Growing your business blog audience means more website traffic, more exposure for your company and if you do it right, more sales!
Here are five ways to build your business blog audience:
1. Create meaningful content.
Publish videos, audio, photos and written content that are helpful, well-written and entertaining. Spark debate. Ask questions. Think, “Would I share this article with my friends and colleagues?” If the answer is no, try again. By delivering information with value you’ll create trust, credibility, and authority for your business.
2. Push and pull traffic.
Instead of letting your blog sit lonely in cyberspace, connect it and make it easier for people to find. Mention your blog in your email marketing. List your blog in directories like Blog Catalog or Blog Hints. Create automatic Facebook updates using NetworkedBlogs. Install a “Like this on Facebook” button, a Retweet button or the DISQUS commenting tool to improve discussion and connect conversations across the web.
3. Write magnetic headlines.
On average, 8 out of 10 people will read a headline, but only 2 out of 10 will read the rest. (If you’ve made it this far, thank you.) A blog headline needs to seriously jump off the page to encourage people to read further. To sharpen your headline writing skills, check out Copyblogger’s guide to writing magnetic headlines.
4. Keyword research & SEO
Writing with the words and phrases people commonly search for in Google will boost your blog’s search engine optimization (SEO). Although keyword research and SEO are much more complicated than this, there are some great beginners guides out there to get you started. Check out “Keyword Research for Web Writers and Content Producers” or “SEO Copywriting” from Copyblogger.
5. Give it away, give it away now.
Give away knowledge, tutorials, instructions and samples of your products and services on your blog. This will demonstrate your expertise, build trust with your prospects and encourage people to link to you, thus spreading your business’ brand across the internet. If you’re uncomfortable giving things away for free, get with the times. Even Adobe gives away a free one-month trial of their software.
